Leicestershire TV coming soon...
Leicestershire TV is a new exciting way of finding out about what’s going on in Leicestershire.
After trials over the last two years, the site will be launched early in 2009 by Channel 2020 (the leading media production company in the East Midlands) in association with the newly re-formed Shout TV.
Rob Potter, CEO of Channel 2020 says:
This is a milestone development for Leicestershire. Channel 2020 has been pioneering TV on the Internet for many years. We now think the time is right to create an online TV service for Leicestershire that we can all be proud of. To be successful, its got to be relevant and engaging enough for a wide range of people and interests. Its also got to hold enough content to be constantly entertaining and provide a valuable TV resource. That’s why we’ve got Shout TV to drive this project forward on a day by day basis. Although Leicestershire TV will aim to serve the interests of key organisations cross the county, we want it to be fully independent and impartial.
